ICMDA is a non-profit organization, founded by the Thyagayya Charitable Trust, to promote and preserve the rich heritage of Carnatic Music and Dance. ICMDA is a platform for Carnatic Musicians and Dancers to showcase their talent and to provide opportunities for the next generation to learn and perform. ICMDA teaches the young and upcoming artists to perform and get recognized by providing cerified cources from the ICMDA examination Board.
Govt. of India has recognized ICMDA as a International Level Organization for Carnatic Music and Dance. ICMDA is also registered with the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
